THE STORY:
A custom chair inspired by the people and culture that make up Harlem, NY. The chair is meant to provide Harlem street merchants a chance to relax on materials from their motherland – in-between selling products to provide for the families they have left it to support.
Materials:
Bògòlanfini - handmade Malian cotton fabric traditionally dyed with fermented mud. A hand-painted “sunflower” yellow on steel.
